HDP to issue a declaration on 20 November

HDP group president Saruhan Oluç said that the AKP-MHP is an enemy of the Kurds and that the seizure of the municipalities has been planned. Oluç said that the party will issue a declaration on 20 November.

Saruhan Oluç, the Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) group president, made evaluations on the agenda in the Parliament.

Oluç, drawing attention to the appointment of trustees said: "We have won 65 municipalities, and 24 have been appointed trustees."

Oluç added that the appointment of trustees was planned and said: "Ministry of Interior inspectors went to Mardin Metropolitan Municipality and prepared a report. This report was prepared in September and resulted in a 400-page document. Of course, the inspectors went at length to justify the need to appoint a trustee to Mardin municipality. But there is something more serious in this report. In fact the report says that it is necessary to make a model out of Mardin.

The Mardin model is described as follows: Work should be carried out for the formation of a system in which the governor, the representative of the central government, will be the head of the local government. Let the city council be elected, but the mayor should be appointed by the president. This is especially important for more manageable cities especially those in which our national security is compromised."

‘Kurdish enemy'

Stating that the appointment of the trustees is not accidental and related to investigations, Oluç underlined that the state is targeting Kurds as its enemy.

HDP declaration to be published

Oluç answered questions from journalists and said: "We have a meeting on Wednesday 20 December in Ankara. We're having this meeting with all our elected officials. At that meeting, we will publish a trustee report on what happened after March 31. We will also publish a declaration on what happened after March 31. Our co-chairs will explain our position on 20 December."
