Heyva Sor calls on people to join the 'Twin Family' campaign

Heyva Sor a Kurdistanê issued a statement regarding the 'Twin Family' campaign and said: "Heyva Sor a Kurdistanê has launched the campaign to ensure solidarity among our people in this extraordinary situation."

The people of Kurdistanê, like people all over the world face serious economic problems because of the coronavirus pandemic.

Heyva Sor a Kurdistanê said: "Let's twin up with a family in need in Kurdistan. Millions of people in Kurdistan have been displaced, impoverished, left unemployed, had their nature and resources plundered.

Our people in the region of Shehba where people from Afrin have settled after the Turkish invasion, two years ago, live in great difficulties. Likewise our people from Serêkaniyê and Girê Spî, live with great problems in camps, as well as the people in Shengal, where the effects of the genocide and destruction, legacy of ISIS, are still very much alive. Our people in Maxmur Camp, has been living under hard conditions for nearly 10 months because of the embargo imposed on them. The people in North Kurdistan, fired and left unemployed with the KHK law, harassed and discriminated against by trustees, the families of tens of thousands of prisoners, are all suffering during this time. The people of Eastern Kurdistan impoverished by the policies of the Iranian state, our displaced people living in camps in Southern Kurdistan they all see further sufference added by the coronavirus emergency."

Heyva Sor a Kurdistanê has launched a 'Twin Family' campaign to ensure solidarity among the people in such extraordinary circumstances.

The terms of the campaign are as follows:

- A minimum of 100 Euros per month must be sent to the twin family for 3 months.

- The information of the twin family to be helped will be provided by Heyva Sor.

- The family acquiring a twin family can either send the money directly to Heyva Sor or to the family.
