A new day open as the old ended: house raids, more repression by the state. This morning the house of Þemdinli mayor Sedat Töre has been raided by police within the context of the so called KCK (Kurdish Communities Union) operation. Books and computers found in the house of the mayor have been taken by police.
The search lasted three hours and it is understood it was ordered in connection with an arrest warrant for the mayor's brother, Ferhat Töre.
