As part of the ongoing operations of political elimination against the Kurds, Turkish police carried out raids in Karayazı district of Erzurum early this morning.

5 houses in Yenimahalle neighborhood were raided in a dawn operation which was also joined by special operation teams affiliated to Erzurum police department.

Many books and documents were seized in the operation which ended up with the detention of Karayazı Municipality Council member Nurhayat Üstündağ and MEYADER former spokesperson Doğan Özmen.
