According to the balance sheet, 1,616 Turkish soldiers including 40 ranked officers were killed by Kurdish guerrillas in 772 actions in 2017. 594 guerrillas lost their lives during the same time period.

Guerrillas downed two Sikorsky and one Cobra helicopter and destroyed 83 armoured vehicles on Turkish army.

HPG said that 30 guerrillas were taken prisoner by Turkish army during combat.

Turkish state conducted 253 operations and 329 airstrikes against Kurdish guerrillas.

“Turkish state panicked because of the rise of Kurdistan Freedom Struggle and began last year with promises to destroy the Kurdish movement. In that regard, they carried immoral attacks against Kurdish people and its values. Attacking Kurdish people’s gains in four parts of Kurdistan, Turkish state relaunched a war of invasion and genocide with all its power. Kurdistan Freedom Movement showed a grim resistance which will go into history books against fascist Turkish state” the statement read.
