HPG (People's Defense Forces) Press and Communication Centre has released the balance sheet of war in North and South Kurdistan for three months of 2015.

HPG stressed that "the free-democratic struggle process being advanced step by step by our Leader and Movement in North Kurdistan carries a strategic value. While our guerrilla forces manifest the necessary responsibility in all areas and fields in order for this important and strategic process to progress, the Turkish army is treating this process with various plans, games and tricks, disobeying the conditions of ceasefire and continuing its attacks.”

HPG provided the following figures regarding the military activities within the first three months of 2015.

NORTH KURDISTAN

Reconnaissance flights by the Turkish army: 197

Land operations by the Turkish army: 24

Aerial activities by the Turkish army: 91

Cobra attacks by the Turkish army: 2

Tank and artillery attacks by the Turkish army: 134

Unavoidable clashes in operations: 14

Soldiers (verified) killed in clashes: 2

SOUTH KURDISTAN

Regarding the battle in Sinjar, Kirkuk and Maxmur, HPG said that; "Undertaking the duty of protecting our people against genocider ISIS gangs that mobilized to perpetrate great massacres in South Kurdistan, primarily in Sinjar, Kirkuk and Maxmur, our guerrilla forces have ensured the advancement of a great bravery in South Kurdistan by enhancing the resistance against these attacks. Defeating all kinds of attacks and conducting joint operations and moves, our forces stopped the advance of ISIS gangs in Kurdistan."
