Hunger strikes protesting the isolation imposed upon Kurdish People's Leader Abdullah Ocalan continue in various cities in Bashur, South Kurdistan.

Following the announcement of engineer Herem Mehmud from Kelar on February 24 that he was going on an indefinite hunger strike, artist Cuma Kerim announced a hunger strike on February 25 and teacher Serdar Melihe on February 26.

“TO FULFILL OUR DUTY”

Yunus Umer from Pencewin, Sulaymaniyah has also announced his hunger strike.

Umer posted on his social media accounts and said: “To break the isolation imposed upon Leader Apo and to fulfill our duty towards Leyla Guven, I am joining the hunger strike protest.”
