Hunger strike in Strasbourg reached day 73

The resistance is increasing by the day with Kurdish people living in Europe and their friends taking to the streets everywhere.

The indefinite hunger strike in Strasbourg, 273, Avenue de Colmar, continues with determination, despite the health deterioration of the activists.

Members of the Oldenburg and Werder people’s councils visited the hunger strikers in Strasbourg on Tuesday.

Members of the people’s councils, who said that the hunger strike action took place in a very critical period for the Kurdish people, called on everyone to step up the resistance.

The visitors stressed that isolation against Öcalan cannot be accepted.

People from Duisburg and Lübeck were also visiting hunger strikers in Strasbourg. They commended the hunger strikers on their 72nd day of fast. 

Kurds from Zurich and St Gallen also came to Strasbourg to give morale to the activists.

The 14 Kurdish activists on hunger strike in Strasbourg are as follow: KCDK-E co-chair Yüksel Koç, former deputy Dilek Öcalan, politicians Mustafa Sarıkaya and Mehmet Nimet Sevim, journalist Gülistan İke, Nurgül Başaran, Ekrem Yapıcı, Ayvaz Ece, Kerem Solhan, Agit Ural, Kardo Bokani, Ramadan Imir, Mohammed Ghaderi and Deniz Sürgüt.
