The building of the Peace and Democracy Party (BDP) in Güroymak (Norþên) district of Bitlis has been raided by police early this morning.
While hunger strike protestor Adnan Calp has been taken into custody on the grounds of arrest warrant issued for him, police also seized the protestors’ banners writing "Ez livirim" (I am here).
In a statement about the police raid, BDP District Chair Hakan Tadik remarked that the raid was carried out with an aim to intimidate the protestors. Tadik underlined that the resistance will continue till the end of the operations and the isolation imposed on Kurdish people’s leader Abdullah Öcalan.
