Hunger striker in Toronto hospitalized and refused treatment

Yusuf Iba, who has been on hunger strike in Toronto for 51 days, has been hospitalized again.

Yusuf Iba from North Kurdistan, who lives in Toronto city of Canada, is on the 40th day of his indefinite hunger strike he started to be a part of the hunger strike resistance initiated by DTK Co-chair and HDP MP Leyla Güven, calling for an end to the isolation regime imposed on Kurdish People’s Leader Abdullah Öcalan.

Suffering from heart trouble, difficulty in breathing and severe headache, Iba was taken to hospital last night.

Doctors wanted to intervene with the situation of the Kurdish activist whose health is deteriorating, but he refused to be treated and turned back to the Kurdish Society Centre where he continues his action.
