DTK Co-chair and HDP Hakkari MP Leyla Guven and Ishtar Assembly member Fadile Tok held a video call. Guven has been on a hunger strike against the isolation imposed upon Kurdish People’s Leader Abdullah Ocalan for the last 86 days, and Fadile Tok is in Maxmur on a hunger strike for 13 days.

TOK: UNTIL THE ISOLATION IS BROKEN

Tok said the following:

“I salute the hunger strike against the isolation that you lead. We will continue until the isolation against Leader Apo is broken. Our people will prevail. We will Free Leader Apo from the Imrali dungeon with the circle we will form around him. We will live free on our lands alongside Leader Apo. The resistance launched on your lead will prevail. This resistance has spread throughout the country and abroad. Our resistance will prevail.”

GUVEN: WE WILL PREVAIL

Leyla Guven said: “First, I salute the people of Maxmur who have been forced to live away from their land for 21 years. I salute your resistance. I started this hunger strike to break the isolation imposed upon Leader Apo. I had hope to get Leader Apo out of the Imrali dungeon and I started the resistance. I believe we will break the isolation and our resistance will prevail. We will continue our resistance until we break the walls of tyranny.”

Leyla Guven concluded with “Berxwedan jiyan e,” and “Serkeftin ya me ye”.
