The İmralı Delegation has gone to Ağrı province of North Kurdistan in order to make an observation at Tendürek where the military operation of the Turkish army left two people, one HPG (People's Defence Forces) guerrilla and HDP Diyadin former co-chair Cezmi Budak, dead on April 11.
Members of the İmralı Delegation, Pervin Buldan, Ceylan Bağrıyanık, Hatip Dicle and the HDP (Peoples' Democratic Party) Ağrı province parliamentary candidate Leyla Zana, will also visit the Budak family in Diyadin to offer their condolences.
After being welcomed at Ağrı Airport by HDP Ağrı MP Halil Aksoy, co-mayors of Ağrı Municipality Sırrı Sakık and Mukaddes Kubilay, the DBP and the HDP Ağrı organisation's co-presidents and hundreds of people, the delegation members went to Dörtyol Kavşağı in city center where they addressed a crowd of thousands waiting for them.
HDP Ağrı parliamentary candidate Leyla Zana said that; "When I came here I noticed that we have always been deemed worthy of sorrow. However, we believe we will turn our suffering into strength and unity. I believe that we will announce our liberation to the whole world in the 21st century. Dark forces would never want the Kurds to be happy, but, I believe that we will remove these dark clouds from our lives once we get united."
Another member of the İmralı Delegation, Pervin Buldan, who spoke after Zana, started by offering condolence to Cezmi Budak's family and all Kurdish people.
Buldan stated they had come to Ağrı in order to make an on-site examination the results of which -she said- they would also share with public and state officials. Recalling that two people's blood had been shed as a result of the operation, Buldan added; "Mr. Öcalan initiated the peace and negotiation process in order that no one's blood be shed, our people not lose their lives and our mothers not cry any more. Within the process going on for two years, a mutual cease-fire has been announced, however, unfortunately there have appeared some intending to undermine it. They caused a provocation and took the lives of two people of ours. We do not accept and condemn it strongly. We state one more time that this incident must be brought to light with all aspects. We demand the punishment of all those responsible. The information we will get from the eye witnesses is very important with respect to the progress of the process. We trust the testimony of our people and we will convey it to all the officials when we get back to Ankara. We call for common sense from our people and state that they shouldn't be influenced by provocations."
After the speeches, the İmralı Delegation moved to Diyadin district with the accompanying persons.
