Intense clashes broke out this afternoon around the Black Stadium in Raqqa city center between SDF fighters and ISIS gangs. The gangs withdrew and exited from the Firdews street and gathered at the stadium’s gates.

The gangs formed a defense point by the gates and laid down mines. SDF fighters attempt to lure out the gangs as the Coalition jets bomb the surroundings.

The stadium stands at a strategically important location. The gangs have turned the stadium into their headquarters as they can move about easily in there.

Clashes continue in the area.
