A group of internationalists staged a march in Hanover, Germany in protest at the increasingly ongoing Turkish attacks against Rojava.
Internationalist activists took to the streets of Hanover on Saturday to protest against the ongoing attacks on Rojava. With loud slogans, German complicity was denounced and solidarity with the resistance in the north-eastern Syrian autonomous region was expressed.
An internationalist involved in the action stated: "We are aware that the war in Kurdistan is not possible without German participation. The Federal Republic of Germany supplies Leopard2 tanks, with which Turkey invaded Afrin in 2018, and now also components for the drones that murder our friends. This is not a new development. The German-Turkish brotherhood of arms has been going on since the Empire and continues to expand. We call on all young people to organise and take the resistance to the metropolises of the West."
Another activist said: "The drones are being used to kill representatives of the revolution. Jiyan Tolhildan, Yusra Derwêş and Sosin Bîrhat are just three of dozens killed. We demand the establishment of a no-fly zone over northern and eastern Syria to stop this targeted killing."
