Iraqi forces supported by the international coalition have seized control over the strategic al-Hurriya (Freedom) Bridge over the River Tigris.

The al-Hurriya (Freedom) Bridge is the second bridge liberated by Iraqi forces in Mosul, with the previous one being another in south Mosul, liberated on February 19.

ISIS gangs had blown up 5 bridges over the Tigris to hinder the advance of Iraqi forces.
