Convening on Wednesday with the Southern Kurdistan Independence Referendum on its agenda, the Iraqi Parliament has authorized Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi to deploy troops in Kirkuk.
The parliament has reportedly made the decision basing on the “protection of the territorial integrity of Iraq”.
Today’s session in the Iraqi parliament is also attended by Iraqi Chief of Defence and Intelligence Service.
