Iraqi Prime Minister Al-Abadi demanded Turkish soldiers leave their lands and said their presence hindered the fight against ISIS.
In a press conference held yesterday, Iraqi Prime Minister Haider Al-Abadi said the presence of Turkish soldiers created problems in the fight against ISIS.
Al-Abadi said, “Erdoğan’s comments on the Mosul Operation are very surprising. Because Turkey will have no role in the Mosul Operation. We will determine the time of the operation with all participating forces being ready. We don’t want any agreement with the Turkish soldiers.”
Al-Abadi repeated that Turkey needs to leave Iraqi territory and said: “We don’t want any trouble. But Turkey needs to leave Iraqi territory. We don’t accept the Turkish soldiers’ presence in the Iraqi lands.”
“INCOME FROM OIL SHOULD BE MORE TRANSPARENT”
Iraqi PM also said the oil from the Kurdistan region should be transported in a transparent manner and added: “To have the Kurdistan oil income transparent, we will be spending more effort.”
Iraqi Prime Minister Al-Abadi commented on news of the Kurdistan Region seceding from Iraq and pointed out there were no such plans, and that he found it surprising that there was talk about this and a referendum.
