Accoridng to Rojnews, ISIS mercenaries last night attacked the 28th Brigade of Iraqi "People's Mobilization Units" Hashd al-Shaabi in Khanaqin (Xaneqîn) in northern Iraq, killing Brigade Commander Hussein Resak al-Mayahiya.

ISIS activities in the region have been increasing for weeks. Last week alone, 25 people were killed or injured by the ISIS in Diyala Governorate, where Khanaqin is also located.
