According to police and hospital sources, 11 people, including members of the security forces, were killed in the attack launched by ISIS mercenaries against a military point at the western entrance of the capital. It was reported that the attack took place late on Sunday.

Security sources stated that among the dead were 5 members of the Shiite militia group Hashdi Shabi. It was stated that the other 6 people were residents of the region who tried to support al-Hashd al-Shaabi against the attack.

Hospital sources reported that 8 people were transferred to hospitals with injuries. No one has claimed responsibility for the night-time attack, but police sources said that it was carried out by ISIS elements.
