This morning, Easter Sunday, ISIS gangs used explosives to blow up part of an ancient church in the village of Til Nesrî to the south west of Til Temir.
On 23 February ISIS gangs attacked Assyrian villages in the Khabur area, abducting hundreds of people and killing dozens of others. Two churches were set alight and one hit by mortar fire during those attacks.
ISIS gangs also targeted the largest mosque in the centre of Til Temir town with artillery fire, causing serious damage.
