ISIS fails to stop SDF advance, uses children as shields in Raqqa
ISIS gangs are using children as shields to stop the SDF fighters advancing in Raqqa.
ISIS gangs are using children as shields to stop the SDF fighters advancing in Raqqa.
The ISIS gangs are preventing civilians from leaving the Raqqa city, like they did in Shaddadi and Manbij, and they are using the children in particular as shields, ANHA reported.
Accordingly, ISIS gangs have once again resorted to this method as the SDF fighters open humanitarian corridors in liberated areas to save thousands of civilians.
For a week, there have been intense clashes in Raqqa while the SDF fighters continue their advance.
According to a local source in the city, the gangs have taken many women and children hostage and are not letting them leave the city. They will reportedly use these women and children as shields against the SDF.
