Israel bombs Syria once again

The Israeli military says six rockets were fired from Syrian territory towards Israel. One landed in the annexed Golan Heights.

The Israeli military said on Sunday that it launched artillery attacks on Syria after several rockets were fired from Syrian territory towards northern Israel.

The cross-border exchanges early on Sunday came as violence escalates on multiple fronts, including in Gaza, Lebanon, occupied East Jerusalem and the occupied West Bank.

A Syrian military source speaking to the Damascus government news agency Sana confirmed the Israeli attack. “At around 5 am this morning, Israel targeted several areas south of the occupied Golan,” the military source said. The same source stated that material damage was caused in the attack.

The Israeli military said it had launched artillery strikes and a drone against the rocket launchers in Syria.
