Israeli attacks kill 217 Hezbollah members

While Israeli attacks in the Gaza Strip have killed tens of thousands of people, nearly 220 Hezbollah members have reportedly been killed in attacks in Lebanon and Syria.

Lebanon's Hezbollah announced the death of two more of its fighters as a result of Israeli attacks.

The Shiite party did not specify the date or place of death, saying only that the two fighters died "on the road to Jerusalem".

According to the Lebanese newspaper L'Orient-Le Jour, the two fighters were killed in an Israeli attack in the Baalbek area.

This is the first time Israel has bombed this area in the Bekaa plain in eastern Lebanon, 175 kilometers from the front lines.

Hassan Nasrallah's party announced that it had shot down an Israeli Hermes 450 UAV in the same region, using a surface-to-air missile, on February 26.

With these two deaths, the number of Hezbollah members killed by Israel in Syria and Lebanon since October 8 has risen to 217.
