Italian leftists staged a march in Toskana, Livorno under the motto “No war” on Sunday to condemn wars and invasions. The demonstration was joined by a number of organisations including ANPI, Emergency, Libera, ANNPPIA, L' Associazione l'Italia Palestina, Mezzaluna Rossa Kurdistan Heyva-Sor, ltalia Cuba, ltalia Nicaragua, Laboratorio della Solidarietá-Bottega del Mondo, ArciAtea, ArciGay, Associazione Evelina DeMagistris, don Ablondi, amici di dön Quilici, Microcrediamoci, Associazione Gibi Centro, Comitato Pontono San Marco, Livorno Porto Pulito, i ragazzo di Livornesity.
Speaking in the name of the Kurdish organisations supporting the action, Kurdish Red Crescent Heyva Sor (Mezzaluna Rossa Kurdistan) President Alican Yıldız denounced the Turkish state’s genocidal campaign against the Kurdish people in various parts of Kurdistan.
Condemning the silence of Western governments, Yıldız expressed their wish for peace and solidarity with the people of Ukraine.
