Emily Apple, The Canary investigations editor, a supporter of the Freedom for Ocalan campaign, Peace in Kurdistan, and the Kurdish Solidarity Network, has been interviewed by Kurdish journalist Erem Kansoy.
Journalist Emily Apple talked about her latest visit to Turkey, political prisoners and the situation in Turkish prisons, solidarity with HDP members and the Turkish state aggression against Kurds.
Apple condemned the Turkish government’s refusal to release political prisoners, including them in the 90,000 inmates being released to combat Covid-19.
The journalist also emphasized the importance of freedom for Abdullah Ocalan and his central role in any peace process in Turkey and the Middle East and also spoke about how Ocalan’s ideas are inspiring people all over the world.
