‘Journey of Freedom’ in Germany on day 2

The activists marched from Dortmund to Bochum on the first day of the ‘Journey of Freedom’. Today, they are marching from Bochum to Essen.

Kurdish and internationalist youth continue their march for the freedom of Abdullah Öcalan in the "Journey of Freedom" from Dortmund to Cologne.

The action organized under the slogan "Journey of Freedom with the Apoist Spirit" demands freedom for Kurdish People's Leader Abdullah Öcalan who has been held in isolation for 24 years and has not been heard from for 30 months.

The action, which will conclude in Cologne on 8 September, is attended by around 40 internationalists from Germany, Switzerland, France, England, Spain, Italy and Bolivia, and over 200 young people from Kurdistan. 

The activists marched from Dortmund to Bochum on the first day. Today, they are marching from Bochum to Essen, chanting “Bijî Serok Apo" (Long Live Leader Öcalan).

In the evening, the activists will gather at the Democratic Kurdish Community Center in Essen where they will discuss what needs to be done against the aggravated isolation of Öcalan.

The activists will march from Oberhausen train station (Bahnhof) to Duisburg on the 3rd day; from Neuss train station (Bahnhof) to Dusseldorf on the 4th day; and from Cologne to Mülheim city center on the 5th day, on 8 September. The action will be concluded here in the evening.
