Justice for Sakine, Fidan and Leyla actions continue

Kurds and their friends in Germany, Holland and Austria have staged mass protests to demand justice for three Kurdish politicians, Sakine Cansız, a co-founder of the PKK (Kurdistan Workers' Party), Fidan Doğan, KNK (Kurdistan National Congress) Paris representative, and Leyla Şaylemez, member of the Kurdish youth movement, who were murdered in French capital Paris on 9 January 2013.

Kurds in the German city of Hamburg staged the 39th vigil for justice demanding that light be shed on Paris killings. The statement on behalf of Rojbin Women's Assembly condemned the silence of French authorities on the killings and noted that the march to take place on 25 November, International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, in Hamburg has been dedicated to Sakine, Fidan and Leyla. Activists also called for strong participation in the march to be staged in Berlin on 16 November for the removal of the PKK ban of the German state.

Amara Women's Assembly also staged a protest outside the French Consulate in the city of Frankfurt and protested the French government for remaining silent about the execution of three Kurdish politicians.

Kurdish women and demonstrators also gathered outside the French Consulate in the city of Munih and demanded justice for three victims of Paris killings. Demonstrators also reminded of Ömer Güney's, the main suspect in Paris killings, relations with some nationalist unions and circles in and around Munih, and called on the German state to investigate the killings.

Kurds in the Den Haag city of Holland also demanded justice for Sakine, Fidan and Leyla outside the French consulate, and protested the French state's silence on killings.

The weekly “We demand Justice” protest outside the French Consulate in the Austrian capital Vienna was also joined by hundreds of people who urged the French state to shed light on killings and perpetrators.
