KCDK-E announces demonstrations timeline for Öcalan across Europe

KCDK-E called for an increased resistance against Öcalan's isolation and announced demonstrations for Öcalan’s freedom to be held in several countries.

European Kurdish Democratic Societies Congress (KCDK-E) issued a written statement on the continued isolation imposed upon Kurdish People’s Leader Abdullah Öcalan.

“The indefinite and irreversible hunger strike launched in Strasbourg in front of the CPT on August 23 for Reber Apo’s health and safety led by the Shengal Êzidî Assembly has reached a new level,” said the statement and mentioned CPT leaving Turkey without visiting Öcalan.

KCDK-E requested Öcalan be embraced with the spirit of great consciousness and sacrifice and stated the following:

“We believe that our people in all European countries, also in Japan, Canada and Australia will embrace the process, strengthen their activism and focus on getting results and thus achieve their goals.

The indefinite-irreversible hunger strike launched by the five Shengal Êzidî Diaspora Assembly members will grow with 15 of our friends from KCD-E constituents and institution representatives joining in. With this addition, the Society Centers have shown again that they are determined to further this resistance with demonstrations to be developed in all regions, areas, fields, states and countries, wherever there are Kurdish people, their friends or other oppressed groups.”
