KCDK-E called on activists to march for Afrin on 8 June

The KCDK-E called on all people to join the march which will be held in Cologne on 8 June to protest the Turkish state’s occupation of Afrin, the wall of shame they constructed around the city and their latest invasion operation against South Kurdistan.

The KCDK-E Co-presidency council has issued a written statement to protest the invasion of Afrin and called on people to join the march to be held in Cologne on 8 June.

The statement said: “The Turkish state that occupied Afrin and carried out massacres, attacks and plundering destroying homes, properties, historical and religious sites, is a threat for the whole of Kurdistan. The Turkish state continues to feed the mercenary groups and this represents a real threat for the four parts of Kurdistan. The international powers have been partners in crime to this ongoing occupation and genocide. And now they are partners in crime with their silence about the shame wall being built in Afrin.”

The statement continued: “Turkey is respecting neither domestic nor international law and is continuing with its occupation policy.”

The march will begin at 11.00 from the Ebert Platz.

Organising the march are Fed Med-NRW (Mesopotamia Free Society Federation), the Afrin Platform (PYD, Maras Initiative, Middle Anatolia Kurds Platform-PKAN), Dersim Reconstruction Congress, Southern and Eastern Kurdistan Representatives, Mesopotamian Faiths Union (FEDA, NAV-YEK, CIK), Kurdish Women’s Union Germany (YJK-E), Revolutionary Youth Movement and Fed Med NRW Federation Councils.
