The KCDK-E called for participation in the protests to be held on 7-8 October promoted by TJK-E to demand freedom of Kurdish People's Leader Abdullah Öcalan.
In a written statement, the Congress of Democratic Societies of Kurdistan in Europe (KCDK-E) called on everyone to participate in the actions to be held between 7-8 October. The actions are promoted by TJK-E on the anniversary of the international conspiracy against Kurdish People's Leader Abdullah Öcalan.
The statement emphasized that the Kurdish People's Leader has been waging a struggle for 25 years in captivity, despite the denial and destruction plans of the conspirators, and added: "Leader Apo's women's liberation ideas continue to spread to a larger territory every day. Leader Apo is at the center of this paradigm and a struggle that liberates people and women. Although Leader Apo was in captivity, he entered into a historical challenge with the conspiratorial forces on behalf of humanity. For this reason, a heavy attack is being carried out on Leader Apo, both physically and psychologically. For this reason, the Imrali torture system was structured for the intellectual and physical destruction of Leader Apo.
Leader Apo enlightens us with the paradigm he developed. The mask of imposed war, massacre and male-dominated mentality has fallen. Enlightened people in Kurdistan, the Middle East and all over the world come together around the ideas of People's Leader Abdullah Öcalan, the leader of the new world revolution."
The statement continued: "People, women and democratic forces choose to fight for a common future by meeting around the paradigm proposed by Leader Apo. The best example of this is that the slogan ‘Jin, Jiyan Azadi’, which is the symbol of women-led struggle, has brought it to a point that determines the path of women's liberation worldwide."
The KCDK-E statement underlined that the “torture and isolation system that has been going on for 25 years targets all the gains of the Kurdish people."
The statement continued: "Leader Apo's freedom is the freedom of the Kurdish people, women, young people, oppressed peoples and humanity. The isolation and torture applied in Imralı are isolation and torture against the Kurdish people, women, young people, and all humanity.
Our main priority is to break the Imrali torture system, which violates all human principles and law and is maintained by the fascist Turkish state, and to fight for the health and safety of Leader Apo. We do not accept the silence of the CPT and the Council of Europe. This silence makes these institutions complicit in the torture system. We call on them to fulfil their duties immediately.
We call on everyone to actively participate in the actions to be held on 7 and 8 October."
