KCDK-E calls for participation in the farewell to Ethem Xemgin

KCDK-E said, “Ethem Xemgin was one of our exceptional intellectuals who managed to combine his research with the struggle of his people,” and called for participation to the ceremony.

The European Kurdish Democratic Society Congress (KCDK-E) Co-presidential Council issued a written statement on the late Researcher and Writer Ethem Xemgin.

The statement began with, “Researcher and Writer Ethem Xemgin, famous for his work on the Alevi faith in Kurdistan, Kurdistan’s history, the Mazda faith, Zoroastrianism and Kurdish Mythology, has lost his life,” and continued:

“HE WAS AN EXAMPLE OF ENLIGHTENMENT”

“The loss of historian and writer Ethem Xemgin, who had dedicated his life to uncovering the truth of the history and faiths of Kurdistan, has been a great loss for us. He had contributed greatly to uncovering our contemporary history with his giving and dedicated efforts. Ethem Xemgin was the epitome of how an intellectual should be in Kurdistan, with his life and his struggle. He was one of our exceptional intellectuals who managed to combine his research with the struggle of his people.

We offer our condolences to Mr. Xemgin’s family and all our people. We repeat our promise to raise the struggle and achieve a free and just country, and uncover the truth as our esteemed intellectual so dearly longed for.”
