KCDK-E calls for protests against Turkey on December 12

Making a statement on World Human Rights Day, KCDK-E invited everyone to the streets against the Turkish state on December 12th.

The Co-Presidency Council of the European Kurdish Democratic Societies Congress (KCDK-E) made a written statement on the occasion of December 10, World Human Rights Day.

Referring to the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, KCDK-E said: "This agreement between the states has unfortunately been violated and trampled dozens of times since 1948.”

The statement continued, "Poor communities, different identities and faith groups had their freedom and right to life and existence violated one by one. They turned a blind eye to massacres and wars. They pushed the peoples into hunger and poverty due to excessive profits and exploitation. Many articles of the declaration were violated one by one through the cruel torture and massacre of militarist forces.”

'HATRED AGAINST THE KURDS'

The Kurdish people were ignored like all other oppressed peoples, emphasized the statement emphasized and continued; "The Turkish state was not satisfied with the massacres it committed in Northern Kurdistan, and it raised the anti-Kurdish hostility to the highest level with massacres and attacks in many parts of Rojava, Shengal, Southern Kurdistan, especially Afrin, Serêkaniyê and Girê Spî."

"Leader Öcalan, who is the will of millions, has been unlawfully held captive for so many years. The will of the Kurdish people has been taken prisoner and wanted silenced. The elected deputies, co-mayors, politicians are unlawfully arrested, while intellectuals, academics and all opponents of the society are oppressed. Pressure and violence are increasing’’, the statement said.

‘MORAL VALUES OF THE SOCIETY ARE TARGETED’

KCDK-E also pointed out that; “Experiencing challenges in the face of the struggle for freedom, the State has been attacking the moral values ​​of the society, such as child abuse, harassment and rape, after its failure to achieve results through massacres and repression. Harassment and rape policies have been developed as the official policy of the government as we saw recently in Gercüş district of Batman."

CALL FOR ACTION

At the end of its statement, KCDK-E said, "We call on our people, all revolutionaries, democratic circles, intellectuals and everyone else to take part in the actions we will organize on December 12 throughout Europe, Australia and Canada, to take to the streets against the fascist Turkish state and shout our slogans for freedom loudly."
