The European Kurdistan Democratic Societies Congress (Kongreya Civakên Demokratîk ên Kurdistaniyên li Ewrupa-KCDK-E) said in a statement: “Unless the massacres of 9 January 2013 and 23 December 2022 are exposed and accounted for, the French state will not be able to get rid of this responsibility. The French judiciary of the French state has to shed light on these two massacres that took place 10 years apart, and the Turkish state should be tried in international courts.”
The statement continued: “It has been 10 years since the murder in Paris of 3 Kurdish female revolutionaries, Sakine Cansız, Fidan Doğan and Leyla Şaylemez. They were killed by the Turkish MIT on 9 January 2013.
This planned murder, which was carried out while the Oslo negotiations and the negotiation process with President Abdullah Öcalan in Imralı were going on, was tried to be covered up. But this massacre went down in history as a massacre orchestrated by the triangle of Ankara, France and Europe.”
Investigation spread over time
The statement added: “After this massacre, all the investigations carried out by the French prosecutors clearly pointed to MIT and Ankara. The investigation, which lasted for years and was spread over time by the French state, has deliberately been extended until today.
Despite years of seeking justice, neither Europe nor France took a single step, and they covered up the massacre by announcing that the killer, Ömer Güney, had died in a suspicious manner in a hospital in Paris on 17 December 2016. The file was unlawfully removed by the French state.
For 10 years, we demanded justice and even though the case has been reopened thanks to the pressure of the public, it is considered a "confidential and state secret" case.
The second Paris Massacre a consequence of secrecy in the first massacre
The fascist Turkish state plotted a new murder on 23 December 2022, and carried out the second Paris Massacre, since France did not clarify the previous killing committed on its own soil.
On 23 December 2022, Emine Kara (Evîn Goyî), Mîr Perwer (Mehmet Şirin Aydın) and Abdurrahman Kızıl were murdered by a new hit man. Again in Paris, and again, the responsible for the Second Paris Massacre was the Turkish state.”
The statement said: “We will not allow these massacres perpetrated by the dictator Erdogan regime to go without trial and be washed up by impunity.
These two massacres, which are an international legal scandal, should be clarified as soon as possible. The criminals should be tried in international courts. The French government should immediately meet with the families and apologize to them and to the Kurdish people for these massacres that took place in its own territory.”
Call to attend the Paris march on Saturday, 7 January
The statement ended with a “call to our people from all over Europe to mobilize to protest the Paris massacres and stand up for our martyrs by attending the march to be held on 7 January this year, under the leadership of the European Kurdish Women's Movement TJK-E.”
