KCK: New year to witness a total resistance

In a statement on the occasion of the new year, KCK (Kurdish Communities Union) Executive Council Presidency underlined that 2012 would be the year of a total resistance against the war and slaughter policies of the AKP government.

Referring to the new proposal on visit permit for prisoners, the KCK statement commented the attempts to find a legal cover for Öcalan’s isolation as “attempts that block the ways to peace and trigger war”. The statement also pointed out to the Roboski slaughter which it described as a deliberate plan of the Turkish state.

“This is a great disrespect to our people and deaths” said KCK referring to the statements of PM Erdoðan and government officials about the slaughter.

Noting that protests and protection of martyrs alone would no more be enough to end deaths, the statement pointed out that the Kurdish people and democracy powers should enhance historical rebellions from now on to prevent further slaughters of the Turkish republic regime.
