KESK members beaten and detained

Police attacked members of KESK protesting the attacks on mothers of prisoners on hunger strike. Numerous people detained.

Families of prisoners on hunger strike have been attacked once again on Saturday. And KESK members protesting the attacks on mothers and relatives by police were in turn attacked. A number of people was detained. 

Relatives of prisoners on a hunger strike demanding the end of isolation against Kurdish People's Leader Abdullah Öcalan have been promoting sit-in and other actions to give voice to the hunger strike resistance. 

A group of KESK members was attacked by police: while women were dragged to the ground, KESK member Arin Zümrüt was hit in the head.

Many KESK members were beaten and detained during the attack.
