Speaking at the HDP (People's Democratic Party) congress, Istanbul deputy Sırrı Süreyya Önder remarked that the HDP was the single platform where all circles could express themselves and stand together with their differences. Önder said this was the reason why the dominant forces were so concerned over this organization.

Önder underlined that the AKP government has crashed into the reality, and scientifically had no ability of performing a work.

Speaking after, BDP (Peace and Democracy Party) co-chair Gültan Kışanak said that the HDP was the true platform that would raise hopes, embrace peoples and enable them to establish their self governance.

Remarking that Kurds have always sided with the establishment of a democratic republic and defended the togetherness of peoples on equal terms, Kışanak underlined that it was time to realise all these with the HDP. “Those building a wall between our peoples will lose and those building a bridge between them will win. The HDP will be the freedom of peoples against those who want to tear us apart, violate our rights and bear a grudge against our freedom”.

BDP co-chair added that the HDP will also ensure the freedom of belief and respect to others and not allow anyone to exploit the religion to guarantee their position.

The future and liberation lies in the HDP, we will resist, get organized and win all together, she added.

Speaking after Kışanak, a group of students from Ankara's Middle East Technical University (ODTÜ) pointed out that they would continue their struggle under the HDP umbrella from now on and bring those responsible for the violation of their rights to trial.
