108 people, 17 of them in prison, including former co-chairs of the Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) and members of the Central Executive Board (MYK), are under trial on the grounds of the protest actions that took place on 6-8 October 2014 over the ISIS attacks on Kobanê.

The 5th session of the 20th hearing of the so called Kobanê Case was held at the Sincan Prison Campus Trial Hall. Lawyers from the Lawyers Association for Freedom (ÖHD) attended the hearing, which was heard by the Ankara 22nd High Criminal Court delegation.

While the politicians in Sincan Prison did not attend the hearing, the politicians in different prisons were connected to the hearing through the Audio and Visual Information System (SEGBİS). After the politicians who did not make a defense, the prosecution presented its opinion. The prosecutor reiterated the decision to keep the politicians in prison.

The politicians demanded a statement on Thursday against the opinion. The hearing was adjourned for one day after their demands were accepted.
