Kobanê delegation continues talks in South Kurdistan

President of the Kobanê Canton Enwer Müslim and PYD (Democratic Union Party) Representative Xerib Hiso who are currently in Sulaymaniyah for a conference organized by the Middle East Institute, are continuing talks in South Kurdistan.

Following a meeting with PUK (Patriotic Union of Kurdistan) Politburo members and Politburo executive Mele Baxtiyar, Müslim and Hiso also visited members of the Goran Movement.

The meeting with PUK witnessed an evaluation of the present situation in Rojava, while Enwer Muslim conveyed the special greetings of female fighters in Kobanê, and appreciation over the arrival of peshmerga forces in Kobanê.

Muslim put emphasis on the national unity being created, adding; "Kobanê doesn't belong to the people of Rojava alone because our people from four parts of Kurdistan are falling a martyr in Kobanê. This battle is a fight for democracy and humanity. We have to defend Kirkuk and other regions of Kurdistan in the same way we are defending Kobanê today."

Mele Baxtiyar recalled that they have taken sides with the democratic autonomous administrations in Rojava since the very beginning, despite bearing some different opinions and proposals which -he added- however didn't constitute an obstacle to them to fulfill their national duty.

Mele Baxtiyar pointed out that Kobanê has altered the balances in Kurdistan and played an important role in the recognition of Rojava and Kurdistan by the international politics.

"The Kurdish question has now become a regional politics and democratisation issue. Democracy cannot be talked about without a mention of Kurdistan anymore", he added.

The Kobanê delegation's meeting with PUK was followed by a visit to Goran movement administrators including Secretary General Noşirvan Mistefa and Celal Cewher, Omer Seyid Ali, Reza Cebar, Saze Abdullah.

Noşirvan Mistefa remarked that the Kobanê resistance has created a national awakening in the heart and spirit of all the Kurds, adding; "As the Goran movement, we deem the Kobanê resistance important. The gains of the Kobanê resistance are the joint gains of the Kurdish people."

Enwer Müslim called attention to the importance of the meeting, stressing that; "Our resistance in Kobanê is for all the four parts of Kurdistan. The Kobanê resistance has proved that the Kurdish people can live freely and by enjoying their rights in their own lands despite them being divided into four parts."

Recalling that ISIS attacks on Kobanê are continuing, Müslim said that the danger remained, and that Kobanê needed continuous support.
