KOMAW (European Organisation of Martyrs and Disappeared people's Families) said in a statement: “The Kurds should solve their internal problems and democratic politics should be followed so to ensure national unity. Any attitude that will develop outside of this goal will harm Kurds and their cause."

The statement added that the KDP's approaches are actually fuelling civil war and have shocked all Kurds and their institutions. KOMAW emphasized that the KDP was first attacking Kandil and now is attacking Gare.

The statement underlined that the Kurds are no longer old Kurds and continued: “Today there is a politicized and conscious Kurdish people. It has the power, consciousness and power to call to account whoever is involved in betrayal and harms the gains of the people. Those involved in betrayal in Kurdish history have always been held accountable. It was said that an inter-Kurdish conflict harms everyone.

In the KOMAW statement, a call was made to Masoud Barzani, and it was stated that the Kurds would hold him responsible for the possible outcomes, and therefore he should prevent this great disaster.
