KON-MED calls for urgent protests in response to Paris attack
“Had precautions been taken after the Paris killings and those responsible been brought to account, this attack today would not have taken place," said KON-MED.
“Had precautions been taken after the Paris killings and those responsible been brought to account, this attack today would not have taken place," said KON-MED.
Defining the attack as a continuation of the Turkish state’s politics against the Kurdish people, KON-MED remarked that the Turkish state, which terrorizes the Kurdish people at every opportunity, employs such methods to attack the Kurds in the diaspora who continue their political and social activities in Europe.
According to KON-MED, today’s attack bears the same goal as that in 2013, when PKK founding member Sakine Cansız (Sara), KNK (Kurdistan National Congress) Paris Representative Fidan Doğan (Rojbîn) and Kurdish youth movement member Leyla Şaylemez (Ronahî) in Paris on 9 January.
KON-MED criticized the French state for failing to take the necessary precautions and held it, too, responsible for the attack.
“Had precautions been taken after the Paris killings and those responsible been brought to account, this attack today would not have taken place.
As KON-MED, we call on our people and friends in Germany to take to the streets starting from now, in response to the attack in Paris.
