KON-MED called on people to celebrate 1 May, drawing attention to the fact that capitalism produces chaos and underlining the importance of democratic modernity.
The Confederation of Kurdish Communities in Germany (KON-MED) issued a written statement to mark 1 May, International Workers' Day.
The solution is the democratic modernity
The statement pointed out that hunger and poverty were imposed on workers and that the coronavirus pandemic showed in a clearer way the state of crisis and chaos experienced by capitalism.
The statement also stressed the importance of self-organization and communes. "The answer to the new form of capitalist modernity is a democratic, ecological, free women paradigm; i.e. the democratic modernity".
KON-MED also stated that May 1 should be celebrated with creative methods.
