KONGRA–GEL calls for broad participation in the Kurdish festival in the Netherlands

The KONGRA-GEL Co-Presidency Council said that “no reason should be cited as an excuse not to participate in the International Kurdish Cultural Festival to be held on Saturday in Landgraaf, the Netherlands.”

The KONGRA-GEL Co-Presidency Council released a written statement on the festival in the Netherlands. “The 'International Kurdish Cultural Festival' held annually in Europe is an important place for the people of Kurdistan. The festival offers a cultural and social meeting place for our people living in Europe. It is also a very important political meeting where annual messages of our people's "Freedom Struggle" are delivered. In this respect, participation in this festival has the utmost importance.”

THIS YEAR’S FESTIVAL HAS A SPECIAL IMPORTANCE

“The 30th International Kurdish Cultural Festival has very special importance in terms of the current situation. The century-old monist fascist genocidal Turkish state regime is on the verge of a crisis and collapse. Although fascism employs all its means at home and abroad in order to call a halt to its collapse, and ratchets up its hostility towards the Kurdish people, it cannot hedge its collapse.

The first target of fascism is İmralı prison. Öcalan has debunked all the concepts of isolation, crackdown and subjugation that the Turkish special war centre has been carrying out for the last 24 years. Fascism remains helpless in the face of Öcalan's resistance.

STRUGGLE OF CENTURY

The Turkish state fascism thought that it would achieve results by making huge investments in technologically advanced warfare as a last resort. The great success obtained thanks to the Kurdistan guerrillas' "Struggle of the Century" against technological warfare, based on the Apoist will, has proved once again that no power can break the will of our people who stand up for their freedom. With its new war doctrine, the Kurdistan freedom guerrilla have become a source of hope not only for our people, but also for all humanity that demands freedom and democracy. Fascism is also helpless against the resistance of the guerrilla forces.

The fascist Turkish state regime, which failed in the face of the concept "free people, free Kurds" introduced by Öcalan, clings to the KDP, that is, the Barzani family, for support. The Barzani family represents the slavish, traitor and collaborator Kurds who hand over all the wealth of their country and people to the Turkish state, the enemy of the Kurdish people, in order to maintain its own power. However, this family's betrayal has been exposed to all. Most recently, their collaborative policies have been exposed and disgraced in four parts of Kurdistan. In other words, the dynasty of the collaborator Barzani family is also collapsing along with Turkish state fascism.

At a time that is crucial to us, the Kurds are preparing for the 30th International Kurdish Cultural Festival on September 17 under the motto "We will defend Kurdistan against occupation and genocide, we will liberate Öcalan". The message that this festival, which is held at a time when fascism and betrayal are about to collapse, will deliver to the public and all relevant parties is very important. Therefore, participation in the festival should be very broad.

'CALL UPON OUR PEOPLE IN EUROPE'

We call on our people living in Europe to,

accelerate the collapse of the genocidal, fake Muslim, fascist AKP-MHP government,

put an end to the collaborative betrayal that hands all the values of our people over to the enemy,

respond to the isolation, torture and massacres in prisons and the delivery of martyrs’ bones in boxes,

respond to insults against the language, identity, national and social values of our people,

raise their voices against the countries and institutions that remain silent towards the use of banned weapons against guerrillas,

put an end to the massacre, harassment and rape of children and women in four parts of Kurdistan,

support the resistance of Öcalan and guerrillas as the Kurdish people living in Europe.

Everyone should attend the 30th International Kurdish Cultural Festival in mass.

Let's not cite any excuse other than death and illness that may prevent us from participating in the festival.”
