KONGRA-GEL co-chair Kartal: Kurds should support the guerrillas

Speaking at the CDK-S congress, KONGRA-GEL co-chair Remzi Kartal stated that all Kurds should support the resisting guerrillas.

The Swiss Democratic Kurdish Society (CDK-S), the umbrella organization uniting 11 assemblies, 2 communes and 4 initiatives, held its 8th Ordinary Congress in Gerlafingen.

Dozens of delegates from many cantons of Switzerland attended the congress. KONGRA-GEL co-chair Remzi Kartal spoke at the congress.

KCDK-E Co-Presidency Council member Murat Ceylan saluted the heroic Kurdish guerrillas who resisted in the mountains of Kurdistan and especially in Zap.

Remzi Kartal noted that the guerrillas put up an extraordinary resistance and that the Kurdish people should support them. Kartal said: “Turkey thinks it will defeat the guerrillas. Turkey wants to believe it and even convinced international forces and their allies of this. However, the guerrillas introduced a new style of warfare against these new attacks. This new war style produces very positive results. The Turkish state and its allies are losing. Guerrilla's resistance gives hope to all Kurds. It creates enthusiasm. People should support the guerrillas.”

Noting that a great war has been waged against the Kurdish movement since 2015, Kartal added: “However, the Turkish state has not achieved any success. Turkey want to open gas corridors with international powers once the war in Ukraine is over. They are trying to make Iraq a new center. That's why the international powers ignore the use of chemical weapons by Turkey."
