A Kurdish employee in a barber shop was stabbed in the French city of Roubaix, in the region of Lille. The attack was apparently carried out by a Turkish fascist.
The perpetrator, a Turk called Ramazan, entered the barber shop and, amid racist insults, switched off the radio, which was playing Kurdish music. When the 27-year-old Zîkrî Elî Avşîn from Hewlêr replied that he could listen to music in his language wherever he wanted, the fascist grabbed a barber's scissors and stabbed Avşîn three times. Avşîn was rushed to Lille hospital where he underwent surgery.
Many people went to the hospital. Representatives of the Kurdish Democratic Society Center said they spoke to the doctors and said that the injured person immediately underwent surgery. Luckily, he didn't lose too much blood. The representatives of the association warned that the Turkish fascists were currently trying to create provocations in order to cause an escalation in the attacks in Europe.
