Kurdish community in Japan provides aid to earthquake victims

The relief efforts after the 7.6 magnitude earthquake in Japan are organised by the Kurdish Red Crescent Japan office and the Kurdish Cultural Association in Japan.

Following the 7.6 magnitude earthquake in Ishikawa Prefecture in Japan, the Kurdish community in Japan set up a mobile kitchen in the city of Suzu and distributed hot meals to the earthquake victims.

Despite the harsh winter conditions, the Kurds catered for about 10,000 people for 3 days. The Kurdish patriots were happy to provide aid to the earthquake victims and recalled the great assistance provided by the Japanese during last year's earthquake in Kurdistan.

The Japanese public and media welcomed the solidarity work of the Kurds. Ayaz Çıkar, an official at the Kurdish Cultural Association in Japan, stated that they were happy for the aid they provided to the region and promised to participate in future financial aid and debris removal work.

The relief efforts in the country are organized by the Kurdish Red Crescent (Heyva Sor a Kurdistanê) Japan office and the Kurdish Cultural Association in Japan.
