Kurdish guerrilla Riyat Berkel taken to Mardin

Kurdish guerrilla Riyat Berkel'in (Xebatkar Kobani) was today taken to Mardin and then to Syria.

Riyat Berkel was one of the 12 Kurdish guerrillas who lost their life during the military operation carried out by the Turkish army between 13 and 15 May in Uludere, in the province of Þýrnak.

The body of Riyat Berkel had been first taken to Malatiya Hospital where dna test was carried out and an autopsy performed. The family of the young boy retrieved his body in Malatya and brought it to Mardin.
