Kurdish Red Crescent to open a medical centre in Tabqa

The Kurdish Red Crescent Heyva Sor a Kurd is preparing to open a medical centre in the Tabqa city as the promises given by international health organisations remained unfulfilled.

Kobanê Canton's Heyva Sor a Kurd organisation has opened a branch-office in Tabqa to provide aid to the people of the city where the ISIS gangs stole a great deal of the medical equipment and demolished a big part of the city's hospital.

This troubling and destitute situation became the reason for the death of 4 persons since the beginning of August. Kobanê Canton’s Heyva Sor a Kurd organisation is therefore working towards opening a medical centre and a pharmacy affiliated to the Tabqa Hospital. The Kurdish Red Crescent aims to provide aid for the treatment of gynaecological diseases, children’s illnesses and internal diseases. Overnight accommodations are in planning as well.

As part of these efforts, the Kurdish Red Crescent has already provided the Tabqa Hospital with 10 different sorts of medicines.

Kobanê Canton Heyva Sor a Kurd executive Dr. Neisan Ehmed stated that the Tabqa Hospital is in dire need of medical equipment as well as around 50 different kinds of medicines. Ehmed confirmed that they will continue their efforts in Tabqa city.
