A racist mob attacked a group of Kurdish students who were putting up banners of the HDP (Peoples' Democratic Party) in Karasu district of western province of Aydın yesterday.

The group of Kurdish youths studying at Adnan Menderes University were attacked as they hanged HDP banners informing about the party rally to take place in Aydın today with the participation of Co-President Selahattin Demirtaş. Some of the students were injured in the attack.

Tension continued in the district for some more time after the incident as racist groups gathered outside the houses and dormitories where Kurdish students are staying.
