Kurdish women in Winterthur send 176 letters to the CPT

Kurdish women living in Winterthur joined the campaign to send letters to the CPT.

Kurdish women living in Winterthur sent letters urging the Committee for the Prevention of Torture (CPT) to take action against the 25-year system of isolation, torture and genocide against Kurdish People's Leader Abdullah Öcalan in Imrali.

Members of the Arjin Garzan Women's Commune sent 176 letters demanding freedom for Öcalan. In a statement made on behalf of the Commune after sending the letters, the activists said that the CPT should not remain silent about isolation and lawlessness in Imrali and underlined that "women will continue to fight until the freedom of our Leader is achieved."
