A group of Kurdish young people marched in the city center to demand the freedom of Abdullah Öcalan as part of the “Cenga Azadiyê Serbixin” campaign.
Activists, carrying flags with photographs of the Kurdish People's Leader, often chanted "Bijî Serok Apo".
The statement made on behalf of the organizing committee of the march said; "The reason we are here today is to draw attention to the isolation conditions in which Kurdish People's Leader Abdullah Öcalan has been held in Imrali Prison since 1999, and to demand his physical freedom."
